DON'T use the plunger on several occasions. You've poured caustic, costly chemicals down the drain. No matter what you try, the drain clogs again. It's time to call John's Sewer & Pipe Cleaning, Inc.
Drain cleaning solutions
The most common drain cleaning solutions are made from caustic chemicals such as potassium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite (bleach), and sodium hydroxide (lye). These solutions are all dangerous to humans, and they have the potential to damage plumbing as well. If the solutions are strong enough to eat through a clog in your pipe, it is strong enough to cause skin or eye damage as well as compromise the condition of your pipe.
Plungers
Common household plungers work by creating suction or pressure to dislodge clogs. These work well on small clogs, but can't remove larger blockages. Many times plungers just push the clog further down the line. Using a plunger may solve a short term problem, but it doesn't properly clear the line. Avoid a clogged kitchen sink during Thanksgiving dinner, by having the line cleared by a professional drain cleaner.
Best solutions - Snake the Line!
At John's, we use motorized snake machines to clear your line from the source of the clog all the way to the main sewer line. The machine will scrape the insides of the pipe to make sure it is 100% clear.
